1st Grade Read for approximately 15 minutes every night. Parents can read to or listen to their child read. Have fun and talk about the book!
2nd Grade Read for at least 20 minutes every night. Parents should sit by their child to listen and help if needed.
3rd Grade Read for at least 30 minutes every night. Parents should listen and when possible sit by their child.
4th Grade Read for at least 30 minutes every night. Parent should not insist that the reading be done out loud, but ask questions about what your child is reading.
5th Grade Read for at least 30 minutes every night. Parents should ask questions and encourage discussion of books being read.
